CHECK IN FROM AWAY

It took 1 pandemic and 2 quirky gals to co-create and co-host the web series Check In From Away, an online talk show about the live performing arts and artists in isolation. Launched in May of 2020, Steffi D and Lisa H from the Toronto company of Come From Away have released 37 episodes on the Mirvish Productions YouTube channel, interviewed over 100 guests, 17 dogs and have a total view count of well over 60,000. 

The series focuses on keeping the love and magic of theatre alive during this “great intermission”. Shot entirely over Zoom, they’ve interviewed their favourite performers and personalities including the likes of Colin Mochrie, Tom Power, Mary Walsh, Deb McGrath, Alan Doyle, Paula Brancati, Melissa O’Neil, Shinan Govani, Louise Pitre, Jake Epstein, Torquil Campbell, Ennis Esmer, Jonny Harris and many more!
